Action Theater™ & Improvisation
Vom 1. – 5. Mai kommt das 7. NOW! Festival nach Berlin, in die Uferstudios. Eine unglaubliche Vielfalt verschiedener Stile der Improvisation werden in fünf Tagen voller Workshops und Performance gebündelt. Das Thema des diesjährigen Festivals ist „Zweifel“: die Welt plagt uns mit überwältigender Vielfalt von Wahlmöglichkeiten, ob im Bereich von Politik, Konsum oder Religion. Wie treffen wir eine Enscheidung? Durch Bewegung, Stimme, Sprache, ob Solo oder im Ensemble, werden sich improvisierende Künstler*innen der Aufgabe stellen, im gegenwärtigen Augenblick, etwas aus dem Nichts hervorzubringen und so dramaturgisch das alltägliche Leben der Menschen widerspiegeln.
The 7th NOW! Festival comes to Berlin, 1-5 May 2019, at Uferstudios. An incredible variety of improvisation styles crammed into 5 days of workshops and performances. This year’s theme is “Doubt”: overwhelmed by choices in politics, consumption and/or religion, how do we decide anything? Using voice, movement and language, on their own or in an ensemble, the artists engage in the task of moving forward through unclarity, creating something out of nothing, and in so doing dramatically mirror everyday life.
